Hi, I'm Jonathan Biddle, the author of Do It For Beauty. This site functions as a companion to the book where I will do deeper dives on specific products and product categories. I also hope it will be platform to engage a community of people who want to maximize their impact through collective action.

I've had a passion for sustainable living for over a decade, and this book and website are the next step in my personal journey. Although I'm not a sustainability expert, I am a supply chain expert (see my other book Supply Chain for Startups) and I bring this perspective to evaluating product impacts on the environment. Sustainability issues are fundamentally supply chain issues since how we design, manufacture and distribute products represent some of the largest emissions categories.
