Although odd to US readers, the correct unit of measure is tonne instead of ton. A tonne is a metric unit that equals 2,205lbs or 1,000kg, whereas a ton equals 2,000lbs or 907kg. I will use the term metric ton to avoid confusion.

See https://go.doitforbeauty.com/43; Fortunately, progress is being made on this front: bacteria, collected from some of our not-so-spectacular landfills, have been found to be actually evolving to slowly metabolize plastic. They are now being investigated for their potential to “digest” waste plastic in new industrial facilities. But these are very new developments, and that technology is not here yet.

Greenwashing is a term that refers to that tactic of companies marketing their products as environmentally friendly when they are not. It can also refer to the more subtle approach of emphasizing very minor sustainable features while ignoring environmental harms caused by the product.
Coca-Cola is definitely trying to reduce their emissions and waste and publishes annual reports on their progress. Still, it leaves a lot to be desired.

The term carbon negative means that product removes more carbon than it produces during its lifecycle. This is extremely hard to accomplish and often requires buying carbon credits or using enough materials that remove carbon that all the lifecycle emissions are more than netted out.
