Welcome to the Do It For Beauty website! You can think of this as the companion to the book, which is available now at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple Books, and Google Play. You can find all of the articles, sites, and brands mentioned in the book or linked in the endnotes for easy access to the research.

There are 2 additional things that will grow over time on this website. First, there will be posts that dive deeper into topics touched on in the book but not fully explored. It will be a place where I can lay out additional research on topics like diaper use or hotels or denim and provide recommendations on which products are the best for the environment. This is an evolving space, so it will provide an easier place to get fresh brand recommendations based on the big ideas discussed in the book. It's also a place for you to engage with me and others by questioning the key principles, offering insights or recommendations, and suggesting additional areas to explore. Feel free to suggest any post ideas here.

Second, there will eventually be a small storefront with a limited collection of essentials that have worked in my life. This will grow over time and is meant more to link out to small businesses (or large ones if they get it right) so you have to do less searching. You can request specific items or categories here.

This is a hobby for me. My wife and I had our first kid recently, so content will be developed slowly. I’m looking forward to connecting with other people so we can magnify our individual impact together.
